SIGIT D PRATAMA
Sigit D. Pratama (b. 1984) is a Jakarta-based designer and the Founder & Principal Designer of .this/PLAY Studio. With a professional background of over a decade in photography, his practice developed from an acute sensitivity to visual composition, materiality, and the communicative potential of spatial experience. His early work behind the lens shaped his belief that exhibitions should not only house artworks, but deepen the encounter between viewer, space, and meaning.
Over the past years, Sigit has actively engaged in residencies and exhibitions both locally and internationally, including Art Jakarta Gardens (Jakarta 2023-2025), Choreographed Knowledges at Museum of Contemporary Art (Tokyo, 2025).
Alongside his work at .this/PLAY, Sigit has built a career in production design. He has participated in the Berlinale Talents program (2022) and worked as a production designer for several film projects. His exploration of spatial storytelling continues across disciplines, from film sets to cultural environments.
Sigit interdisciplinary approach continues to connect photography, spatial thinking, and cinematic construction. His work asks how environments influence perception and how space can become a medium for care, memory, and connection between people and art.
